A mix of analog and IP cameras to cover different monitoring aspects within a common surveillance area. With its support for 8 analog cameras plus an additional 8 IP (H.264) cameras, the Bosch DHR-0800A-050A presents you with the perfect analog/digital recording solution. In effect, it saves you the hassle and cost involved in purchasing, installing and operating two separate DVRs. You'll also appreciate its use of the H.264 codec, so you can apply maximum frame rates and resolutions to each camera without overwhelming your network or storage resources.
Highly Efficient H.264 Codec
Thanks to its use of the highly efficient H.264 compression method, you'll be able to view, record and playback images for all analog and network cameras at maximum available frame rates (30 FPS) and resolutions (4 CIF). Also known as MPEG-4 Part 10, H.264 has been shown to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements by as much as 30%, as compared to the standard MPEG-4 codec.
4 Internal HDD Bays with RAID 4 Support
You can access all 4 drives from the front of the DVR without the need to unscrew anything. This will make it easy to upgrade or archive a hard drive. You can also apply a RAID 4 configuration to the internal drives for fail safe operation.
5-Camera Biphase PTZ Control
You can control the PTZ functions of up to 5 Bosch cameras directly from the DVR using Bosch's Biphase control protocol. Biphase supports a control range of up to 0.9 miles (1.5km). There's also an RS-485/422 port for controlling a non-Bosch PTZ camera.
Expandable via Optional Keyboard
By using an optional Bosch IntuiKey keyboard with a loop-through feature, you'll be able to link up to 16 Divar XF DVRs together, and that way control up to 384 cameras from a single keyboard device.
